Point Zero Forum – Roundtable on Investor Protection
Against the backdrop of substantial losses suffered by retail crypto investors, the Point Zero Forum dedicated a roundtable to "Investor Protection in the Age of Cryptocurrencies," asking how and to what extent investors — especially retail investors — should be protected. Beginning with the available data, the panellists explored the gaps in current regulation and possible concepts for an appropriate regulatory architecture for cryptocurrencies in the field of retail investor protection. The roundtable was led by FINMA's Léonard Bôle and Matthias Obrecht and brought together representatives of the crypto industry alongside regulators from the US, Singapore, Japan and the Netherlands.
